He is a Big Boy!

Well, Shane had his two month appointment on Tuesday. He has gained 3 pounds and 3 ounces in one month! He now weighs 12 pounds and 13 ounces, which puts him in the 90th percentile for height and weight! He is going to be a big boy. He also got his immunizations...four shots and an oral vaccination. He did not like any of them, and I can't blame him. The look on his face just broke our hearts, and to think he gets them again in another two months. Yikes!

We are really excited because Steve comes back from Spain tomorrow! We can't wait. We get to pick him up at the airport at 6 pm. We just really want today to go by fast. Tomorrow my mom is coming down to pick up Steve, we're going to hang out in Burlingame and walk around with Shane. It should be fun, and make the time go by faster until we go to the airport.

We're going to head up to Redding again this weekend so that we can spend some time with Uncle Steve. Can't wait. We're hoping it will be nice and warm so that we can take some pictures outside!

We can't believe it...Shane is almost two months old! He has grown so much. Just thought we would add a few more pictures of him...look at those chunky thighs! He is such a happy baby, smiling all the time and is really talkative. We are sure having lots of fun with our little man.

Back home

Wow, I haven't updated our blog in quite some time. Nothing much has happened since the last entry. We got back to Foster City from Shingletown about a week ago. It was such a relaxing trip. I don't think I have been up there for that long since before I we got married. It was nice to see everyone and hang out. Shane sure enjoyed the visit, especially since he got so much attention. He is really starting to "talk" a lot more now. He is cooing all of the time and is extra smily. He notices his toys now and talks to them and tries to hit them with his hands. It is so fun to watch him. I just can't get over how fast he is growing and changing. He is constantly amazing me. The other day he started to giggle, but only for Davin. I have tried everything to get him to do it for me, but fail each time. Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait for my turn.
We bought Shane a rainforest mobile for his crib. He is absolutely mesmorized by it. He lays there and kicks his legs with excitement and talks to the animals. It is hilarious. Who ever new a mobile could be so entertaining? I love it too, because it allows me time to do some chores!
We sent out Shane's birth announcements this week. Finally! Thanks grandma and mom for helping with the photo shoot. It sure was fun! Here are a few new pictures. Enjoy.

First trip!

We are on our first adventure as a family up in Redding/Shingletown for a week. Shane is loving spending time with his grandparents, and Davin and I are enjoying the nice break.

Vegas has been chilling out too! Shane and him are really starting to bond as you can see in the picture. They are both having a great time watching the make-shift mobile that Davin made with Shane's toy hanging from the ceiling fan. It was really a funny sight to see, as well as a wonderful way to calm the little guys down!
Tomorrow we are heading up to Shingletown to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Carroll and Great Grandma Teijeiro! We can hardly wait, especially since there is still some snow!

The Great Escape

Last night we had a really big scare...
It was around 11:30 pm and I had decided to finally venture outside to get the mail. I then preceded to take a shower and left Shane in Davin's care. After getting ready for bed, I came into the living room and noticed that the front door was open! Davin asked "where are the animals?" My heart sank as I frantically looked around the apartment to find them missing. Shane was crying, Davin was upset and I was in shock. Thankfully, Willy the cat was just sitting contently on the outside staircase. Vegas was nowhere to be seen. Davin hurried outside whistling and calling for Vegas; I bundled up Shane and stood outside the apartment praying that Vegas would venture back to his home. After Davin made a few loops around the apartment complex he decided to go towards the dog park. He saw a group of teenagers at the intersection near the apartment office and walked toward them. They had found Vegas, or should I say that Vegas found them! What a relief. I don't know what we would do without our best friend. I know that he can be annoying sometime, like the other day when he peed on our mattress, but he really is the sweetest and most funny dog I know. I am so thankful that nothing happened to him, and I will be very careful from now on to make sure that the door is closed all the way!

Photoshoot

We were bored today, so we took some pictures of Shane in his baby scrubs and cowboy boots! He wasn't too excited about being dressed up and posed, but it made for some funny pictures! Watch out Patrick Dempsy you've got some competition for the McDeamy role!
